Privacy Policy — PDFKaj Resume

How PDFKaj Resume handles your data: browser-first processing, local drafts, opt-in AI assistance, advertising limits and your choices.

The short version

Your resume is personal information. We built this product so that it stays on your device: building, previewing, checking, scoring and exporting all happen in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to create or edit a resume, and drafts are stored in this browser's local storage.

What we collect

  • Resume content — stored only in your browser's local storage unless you export it yourself. We do not receive it.
  • Usage data on public pages — aggregated, non-identifying page statistics if analytics are enabled. Analytics never run inside the resume editor or preview.
  • Advertising identifiers — set by our advertising partner on educational pages only, subject to your consent choices.
  • Support messages — if you contact us, whatever you choose to send.

What we never do

  • Send resume contents to advertising or analytics systems
  • Use your resume to train machine learning models without your explicit consent
  • Require an account for the basic builder
  • Retain AI request data beyond what is needed to return the response

AI assistance

Writing assistance runs on your device by default. If a connected model is enabled, only the text you are actively working on is transmitted to the model provider, and only when you trigger it. No account is created with that provider on your behalf.

Cookies and advertising

Advertising appears on guides, country pages and reference content — never inside the resume editor, the preview, or next to download buttons. Advertising scripts are not loaded in contexts where resume data could be visible to them.

Your choices

  • Clear every draft from the builder at any time
  • Export your data as JSON and delete it locally
  • Withdraw advertising consent through your browser or the consent tool
  • Ask us to delete any message you have sent us

Honest limitations

We describe this product as browser-first rather than 100% private. Exporting a file or enabling a connected AI model involves your device talking to a third party, and your browser's local storage is under your control, not ours. We will not claim a guarantee we cannot technically keep.
